Put Closet Door Track For The Sliding Closet Door
Closet door track – Starting with measure top header from left side to right with a tape measure. Cut metal top tracks for your measurement with a striker. Mark at the bottom of the head 3/8-inch back with a pencil. Measure from the front of the headline in 3/8 inch in each side and center. This is where you will install the front of the track. Ask the helper to keep one end of the path up while securing the other end to the bottom of the closet header. Line the front of the track with the 3/8 inch mark. Secure the track to the headline of a screw and screwdriver. Use a screwdriver if you have one. Line the front of the slot on the other end with the 3/8 inch mark and put the slot to the cupboard header.
Attach the center of the track to the 3/8 inch mark with the attached screw and screwdriver. Check the levelness of the track by placing a 6-foot level across the bottom of the closet door track. Place small shims between the track and header where necessary. Attach two fastening screws between each side and the center of the slot. Measure the distance between cabinet jambs on the floor with a tape measure. Cut the bottom guides with a striker according to your goals. Lay the bottom sliding groove on the floor between the closet jambs. Ask you to help keep a vertical line from the middle of the top track on one side. A lead is a string with a pointed weight at one end of the string.
Place the middle of the floor guide track directly below the point of vertical weight. Attach traces to the floor with a screw attached and a screwdriver. Go to the other side and have your help keep the lineup. Install the middle of the bottom slider track directly below the vertical line weight. Secure the track with additional four fastening screws. Evenly spaced screws at the cross of the track. Install your sliding doors in the slots. One door will install in the rear slot and one will install in the front slot. Test activation of the doors and adjust the bottom sliding closet door track as required.
